Welcome! If you’re new to us, thank you for choosing Dazzle Dogs! If you are already a part of our grooming family, let’s see if mobile may be a better option for your dog!
Let’s start with the basics, what are the differences between mobile grooming and shop grooming?
Ok, so let’s talk about your dog and which option may be more suitable.
-Does your dog travel well? If they love the car, going to the shop may be a fun adventure for the day. If driving makes them sick, or raises their stress levels than mobile may be the more fair option.
-Does your dog get along with others? Remember, the shop has multiple appointments and groomers running at once, and that means other dogs will be around. Typically, they do not interact directly with other pets but they are still in a close environment with them. Mobile eliminates that completely which is beneficial to dogs who prefer to not socialize.
-Does your dog need breaks during grooming? This is a big one. Many people think that mobile grooming is a better option for senior dogs who may struggle with the grooming process. Dogs who have trouble standing, suffer from sore joints, or other health issues are actually highly recommended to go into the shop. Mobile grooming does not allow for breaks. The appointment runs from start to finish so that the groomer can travel to their next appointment. In the shop, dogs can take a break from constant standing, and there are more staff available to help make the process more comfortable.
-Does your dog have experience with velocity dryers? If your dog has been to the groomer before, and you’ve been told they don’t handle the dryer well, mobile is not an option. In the shop, groomers have other ways to dry your dog after the bath. We have kennel dryers that are much more quiet, and gentle for your pet. We are also able to take extra time and allow breaks as needed in the shop.
-What if you have a new puppy that’s never been groomed before? First of all, you can guarantee a strong “awww” from all of us for the cuteness. We love puppies! And the good news is, the choice is yours. Either way is an option for your pup who is UNDER 6 months old. If they’re over 6 months and never been groomed, we may want to ask a few more questions to decide which way is best.
Lastly, let’s talk pricing. Mobile is double the cost of in-shop grooming. Mobile is a luxury service, providing one on one time to only your pet(s). We bring along our water, tub, premium products, tools, table, power, generator, and gas. The shop has multiple groomers, with multiple pets getting their “spaw” day concurrently, whereas mobile sends one groomer directly to you!
If you’ve made it this far, hooray! We hope this has helped make your decision easier. If you have any questions at all, please send us an email at dazzledogsgroomer@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to help!
